GC001D-14SBS: Market Assessment and Technology Commercialization Of Biochip Product For Food Security Detection

Abstract:

Once halal food products are visualized, some phases are required to be observed. Its start from Food Company, the product itself, halal ingredients and halal process. Among all the issues of the phases, halal authentications technology is yet to be placed to make sure the halal ingredients used in product. Development and implementation of commercialization strategies is not identical across the industries. Besides the technology entrepreneurship, the success of this project relies on the complete understanding stakeholder’s need and perception about the innovation.

Research Objectives:

  1. To assess customer perception of biochip product to confirm the food security

  2. To assess industry perception of biochip food security product to go to market commercialization

  3. To explore factors influencing the choice of food security detecting biochip product

  4. Give a road map of commercialization for the innovation of biochip food security detector

Methodology:

In conducting quantitative techniques, to assess the perception of each stakeholder, 450 respondents will be chosen. Respondents will be selected using stratified random sampling techniques. For qualitative interview, 25 experts will be chosen based on the weight of their experts.  Data analysis techniques as structural equation modelling where interview of the experts will be analyses with NVIVO.
